Our Team

  • Blake MacKay // she/her but unbothered

Queer and socialist and nary a handbag in sight, Blake isn’t exactly your typical PR gal. That said, she’s been in the game for over a decade and the record speaks for itself. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ A publicist (and then some) with the heart of an entrepreneur, Blake’s work shines when she’s empowered to create and ideate. She can write, but not as well as her wife, Jordana Rothman, with whom she lives in a 350 year old house in The Catskills and raises her toddler, Roux.

  • Emel Shaikh // she/her

Based in Los Angeles, Emel spent the first half of her career in independent film before switching gears to her first, truest, life-long love: food. She’s held multiple “senior” “leadership” “roles” at boutique PR shops (and trust us, she’s done her thing), but she genuinely cares most deeply about working with mission-driven companies and really good folks. Emel does not separate work from her lived experience as an immigrant, Muslim, (brown) woman of color to offer a thoughtful, culturally competent and nuanced approach to PR and media relations. In short, kindly take your tired, racist nonsense elsewhere.

  • Peter Shrieve-Don // he/him

A Cantonese-American SF native, Peter lives in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights. But before that, he was based in KL, Malaysia. And before that? A Shinto shrine in Japan. Prior to food PRing, Peter was an integral part of Inside Revolution, a boutique consultancy that helps leaders say good things and say them well. He’s one of those people who will be like “when I was a teacher…” and then “when I was running with the Thai royal family…” and you’re like how many lives have you lived?? These days though he can be found criss-crossing the city in search of the perfect home cooked meal, or socializing with climbing shoes on at his second home of GP-81 (and only those two things really).
